THCa stands for tetrahydrocannabinolic acid. It is the precursor to THC, the chemical compound responsible for the euphoric sensations, i.e. “highs”, we feel after consuming cannabis. THCa is sometimes called pure THC, however that is false. It is pure THCa, converted into THC once heat and/or light is applied.
THCa comes in a couple of forms. Diamonds is one of them.
What are THCa cannabis diamonds?
Cannabis Diamonds refers to the solid THCa crystals that form in sauce, a liquid consistency of cannabis extract that’s very high in terpenes (flavor and aroma). Cannabinoids like THC, CBD, CBG, etc. are largely responsible for the degree of euphoria we feel from vaporizing cannabis, while terpenes are responsible for the flavors we taste in the vapor. Some studies suggest terpenes also play a primary role in the types of uplifted, sleepy, relaxed, etc.
How are THCa Diamonds made?
THCa diamonds are typically extracted through two methods: using a closed-loop extraction system, or simply allowing a pure cannabis oil to sit long enough that the THCa diamonds naturally form on top of your terpene sauce. The size of your diamonds largely depends on the temperature, moisture, and the solvents (or lack thereof) used in the extraction process.
Why people choose THCa Diamonds
If you champion purity and potency, you'll love natural THCa diamonds. People enjoy diamonds in dab pens, dab rigs, vaporizers, and more recently vape pens. It's why we created a standalone Diamonds pod, and used it to enhance our Live Rosin pods. Find them at a dispensary near you.
