Vapor quality and amount depends on the moisture content of your material, amount of material, how it's prepared and loaded, device temperature setting, and how you draw from the mouthpiece.
Here's a few tips, to improve the performance of your PAX:
- Material: PAX extracts moisture from your material in the form of vapor. Break down material to a medium-coarse consistency; not too fine and not large chunks.
- eg. rolling tobacco is dry, and won't produce much vapor.
- Loading: One of the most important steps is to fill the oven completely. Then tamp it down firmly, fill again, and tamp down again, ensuring the oven is tightly packed to the brim.
- Temperature/Experience Mode:We recommend the 2nd or 3rd setting to start with.
- Draw: "Sip it, don’t rip it!" A short ~3 second draw will suffice. Drawing harder or longer won't create more vapor.
Most importantly, spend some time experimenting with PAX and learn what works for you. The Half Pack Oven Lid can be helpful when a shorter session is preferred.
