When Craft Meets Culture: Inside the PAX x Stan Birch Collaboration

At the crossroads of art, culture, and modern ritual, PAX is proud to introduce an exclusive collaboration with internationally renowned artist Stan Birch. Together, we’ve created a limited-edition Adidas sneaker that brings craftsmanship and creativity to the forefront of cannabis culture. Only 40 pairs were made worldwide, each finished by hand with 22-carat gold cannabis leaves, resulting in a piece that’s as thoughtful and expressive as it is wearable.
An Artist Defined by Precision
Stan Birch’s work lives comfortably between worlds. Known for his hyper-detailed, conceptual explorations of luxury, power, and symbolism, Birch has built a global reputation for transforming familiar icons into statements of meaning. His practice often blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary critique - gold leaf, fine metals, and sacred motifs reimagined through a modern lens.
Birch’s work has been collected internationally and admired for its restraint as much as its boldness. Every detail is deliberate. Every material choice tells a story. It’s this exacting philosophy that made him a natural collaborator for PAX.
Stan Birch x PAX
PAX has long stood for thoughtful design, innovation, and the belief that cannabis belongs in elevated spaces. In partnering with Birch, PAX extends that philosophy beyond device design and into cultural expression.
The Adidas sneaker serves as a creative canvas, with its classic silhouette reimagined through Birch’s unique perspective. Cannabis symbolism is brought to life in 22-carat gold - a material chosen for its history, meaning, and sense of permanence. With only 40 pairs made, the collaboration reflects the same care, intention, and attention to detail that define both Birch’s creative process and PAX’s approach to design.
“Working with PAX felt natural because they understand restraint, intention, and respect for the ritual,” says Birch. “Cannabis has always been a part of creative culture, but rarely treated with the same reverance as other luxury materials. Using gold as a way to elevate the leaf was a chance to give it the permanence and respect it deserves.”

A Commitment to Independent Artists
For PAX, the collaboration reflects a deeper commitment to supporting independent artists who shape culture from the margins inward.
“Independent artists like Stan don’t just follow culture - they define it,” says Justin Tacy, VP of Marketing at PAX. “Partnering with creators who bring their own point of view, discipline, and integrity allows us to tell richer stories about cannabis - stories rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and authenticity.”
In keeping with the spirit of intentional rarity, only 40 pairs were produced - each one accounted for before it ever existed. Rather than offered for sale, the sneakers will be gifted exclusively to a select group of PAX’s top sales and distribution partners worldwide, a quiet gesture of appreciation to those who help shape the brand’s global presence.
