Pre-filled vape cartridges or pods are useful for consumers that want to enjoy the wide variety of cannabis oils on-the-go. They're portable, convenient, and easy to use. The only unknown: how long will a vape pod last? In our guide, we'll explain how vape pods/cartridges work and the factors that impact how long they will last.
Vape pods or cartridges are pre-filled with cannabis oil and are compatible with vape pens. The compatibility is determined by the brand and manufacturer. For example, PAX ERA pods work exclusively with PAX ERA pens.
Vape pens are devices that consist of a standalone battery that allows you to insert or click in the vape cartridge or pod. Once the device is turned on, either by the click of a button or upon draw, electricity flows to a heating element, which heats up the oil, typically via a wick, to create vapor.
Once the oil in the pod or cartridge is depleted, it will need to replaced with a fresh one.
There is no clear-cut answer to this question. Vape pods or carts can last anywhere from days to weeks or months. It is dependent on a couple of factors, including the length of your sessions, the amount of vapor you inhale, and the temperature at which you vape.
Each of these factors combine to determine how long it takes for your pod to be depleted. If you engage in lengthy sessions and take big puffs at high temperatures, odds are your vape pod or cart will deplete more quickly.
Under normal circumstances, you can expect a 0.5g pod to last between 75-150 puffs
