Live Your #PAXlife: Knuckle Puck

Live Your #PAXlife: Knuckle Puck

Knuckle Puck just returned from a headlining tour in the UK and Mainland Europe, and are gearing up for Vans Warped Tour 2016. This suburban Chicago group approached the writing and recording of Copacetic - one of Alternative Press’ Most Anticipated Albums of 2015 - by studying albums close to their hearts: classics like Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American and Motion City Soundtrack’s Commit This To Memory.

This is what it's like to live a day in their #PAXlife.

What is your favorite PAX feature?

Kevin: SIMON!

Joe: I love the sleek look.

Ryan: All of the Party Modes!

What makes you happiest?

Joe: The ability to pursue a passion!

Nick: Being in the company of friends, making and playing music, and hanging out with my girlfriend and cat.

What do you carry in your pocket daily?

Joe: WPKP; wallet, phone, keys, PAX.

What should everyone try at least once in their life?

Joe: Everyone should try to see the world as much as possible throughout their lives, or alternatively, just take an overseas trip at least once in your life! The world is a whole lot bigger than you'd think.

Nick: Travel. Although it may not be feasible for everyone, I think that striving to see as much of this world as possible within your means should be on everyone's agenda. There's so much to see all around you and it can give you a whole new perspective on things.

Ryan: Playing an instrument!

What is on your bucket list?

Joe: Go to Japan, cliff jump more often, and sky dive again.

Ryan: To face my fear of roller coasters.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Nick: Weirdly enough, to quit school and eventually my job. I'm not saying everyone should do that, but I guess it translates to making what is most important to you your main priority in life while you still can. Sometimes this means going against the grain and taking risks.

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

Kevin: I have a fraternal twin brother.

Ryan: I can rollerblade...fast.

Do you have any heroes?

Nick: Bernie Sanders.

What is on your bookshelf?

Kevin: The Enforcer: Spilotro: The Chicago Mob’s Man Over Las Vegas by William F. Roemer & The Smiths FAQ by John D. Luerssen

Nick: Dust, unfortunately.

What is on your perennial to-do list?

Nick: Eventually I will find the time to skydive which I've been dying to do. Other than that I'd like to make it to the few remaining states in the US that I've yet to see.

What is your greatest indulgence?

Kevin: American Coca-Cola!

Ryan: Bagels with cream cheese.

Who is on the guest list for your ideal dinner party?

Joe: The number one guest at my dinner party is Kanye. He can do whatever he wants.

Ryan: Chris Farley, Jonah Hill, and Kurt Cobain.

What is the best gift you've ever received?

Kevin: The gift of friendship from my best friend, Nick.

Nick: My older brother got me my first guitar when I was thirteen. That event alone changed the course of my entire life and it's insane to think about.

What item in your closet do you wear the most?

Joe: Any pair of pants.

Kevin: Either my Cro-Mags or my Blink-182 shirt.

Nick: A black jean jacket with an exclusive Agent Peanut enamel pin on it.

What are the last three items on your credit card statement?

Nick: A Fender Jazzmaster hollow-body guitar that I had been searching for over the past few years, a Universal Audio Apollo recording interface, and Taco Bell.

Who do you follow on Twitter?

Kevin: @dril, @realcarrotfacts, and @markhoppus.

Nick: Friends in bands that I've met through touring and being involved in music, Kyle Mooney, Justin Roiland, the "Kanye Doing Things" account which I highly recommend you check out.
