Search Tab FAQ

1) Can I use a search tab on a site that includes frames?

Maybe. Make sure you leave enough space on the edge where the tab will be shown to accommodate it. Otherwise it might obscure your content.

2) When I click on the search tab, it opens under items already on my page. What can I do?

We make very effort to identify the highest zIndex in use on your page, but sometimes we are not able to do this effectively. Check to see if you've hard-coded a zIndex anywhere.

3) How do I remove the search tab?

Simply search for and remove the code snippet we provided from your HTML.

4) How do I update the color or logo for my tab?

You'll need to log onto pax.com using the login link in the upper right corner. This will bring you to your MyPax account. Click the "Site Search" link under the "Site Tools" heading in the lower right to get to Edit buttons. You can choose to edit the tab and search bar independently of one another.

5) Can I put this on MySpace?

Sorry! MySpace won't allow our scripts at this time.

6) There are no search results! What's wrong?

Make sure you have associated the correct site url with the search tool you're using. If you want to search multiple domains like http://A.site.com/ and http://B.site.com/ you'll need to use http://site.com/. Using just a subdomain like A.site.com will not search WWW.site.com.
